Defend Yourself

Protect yourself and escape a dangerous situation with effective self-defense skills. Attend the free training workshop to learn moves and strategies to defend yourself from an attacker. Sponsored by the Women's Leadership Project, Defensive Tactics Club, Panhellenic Council and Department of Health and Human Performance.

Do you know where to go for support? How can you help a friend in a harmful relationship? Stop by the information table in the Memorial Union to learn about resources and services available to help with domestic, sexual, interpersonal or stalking violence.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

Men, grab your high heels! Join the Interfraternity men in raising awareness for women's domestic violence and sexual abuse. Bring $5 and a pair of high heels and "walk a mile in her shoes." (Bring $10 and get a free t-shirt!) Proceeds benefit OPTIONS Domestic and Sexual Violence Services.

Clothesline Project: Share Your Story - Show Your Support

Be a part of the "Clothesline Project" that honors victims and survivors of sexual and domestic violence. Help give a new "voice" to the silence that often surrounds these issues. Share your story or show your support on a paper shirt provided. Hang your shirt alongside the others posted in the first floor hallway of the Memorial Union.
