Nurse Entrance Test--Computer Version
(NET)
The Nurse Entrance Test (NET)--Computer
Version is administered by appointment. For optimum availability,
a two-week notice prior to a desired test date is recommended. Information
on test requirements, fees, and policies is available by contacting

Overview
The NET is a diagnostic instrument
that assists nursing education programs in evaluating the academic,
test taking, and social skills of new applicants to their program.
The NET by computer is a computerized form of the NET paper and
pencil examination. The total test time is 2
hours and 38 minutes.
The test contains eight sections:
- Essential Math Skills (30
minutes)
- Reading Rate (1 minute)
- Reading Comprehension (30
minutes)
- Written Expression (30 minutes)
- Basic Science (15 minutes)
- Stressful Situations (12
minutes)
- Learning Styles (20 minutes)
- Test Taking (20 minutes)
A student MUST be referred for
testing by their FHSU
Nursing Department advisor. Each student
must bring his/her photo identification, the test fee, and the completed
and signed "Computer-Based Nurse Entrance Test Information
and Referral Form" to the test appointment.
