EC^2 Every Child Counts

Team Members:
Amy Jensen, Megan Rhodes, Jim Rohr, Molly Copper, Lindsey Dieterich

Mission Statement:
The purpose of EC^2 is to provide a role model to better quality of children's lives; to increase funding to help support Big Brothers Big Sisters, and to make the community aware of the importance of the organization by educating the public through advertisement. Wanting to increase the involvement between the Fort Hays State University students and Big Brothers Big Sisters is one of EC^2's goals.

Habitat for Humanity - CAAN Habitat

Team Members:
Chelsey Gillogly, Amber Nuckles, Amy Walker, Nikki Sheck

Mission Statement:
CAAN Habitat will help establish the Habitat for Humanity of Ellis County. Our mission is to work ethically alongside members of the community to change Ellis County for the better. The focus of our project will be directed at the research and conduction of a feasibility study of a donated house in Zurich.

Operation Animal Freedom

Team Members:
Rachel Sennett, Katie Beamer, Emily Schechinger, Andra Schwindt

Mission Statement:
Operation Animal Freedom strives to prevent the Humane Society of the High Plains from closing its doors forever. In order to do so, we must secure alternate means of funding. In addition to funding, Operation Animal Freedom hopes to aid the Humane Society of the High Plains through additional volunteers, foster families, and increased adoption.

Operation Outreach Youth Friends

Team Members:
Jennifer Amrein, Justin Powers, Jessica Smart, Jessica Stegman

Mission Statement:
The purpose of Operation Outreach YouthFriends is to accomplish fundraising and promotion events for the Hays YouthFriends program so that they may gain community awareness, incresae their budget, obtain more volunteers into the program, and make YouthFriends a permanent fixture in the Hays community. These goals are all in the effort to connect young people with caring adults in the school atmosphere to encourage healthy behaviors and build a stronger community.
