Our team, M.O.R.E. at FHSU, was formed to deal with the orientation issue at Fort Hays State University. The initial vision for our project was to totally revise the orientation process at Fort Hays. We envisioned abandoning the old, boring format by involving campus organizations in orientation and making it more fun and interactive for the freshmen/ new students who attend. We also foresaw advantages for the university as a whole as a result of a more student-friendly orientation process. Our goals were to increase awareness for the need for change in the orientation process and to eventually present to campus leaders, administrators, students, and organizations as well as the orientation committee about our new plan for orientation.
