The Voss Advanced Leadership Undergraduate Experience (VALUE) has welcomed nine mentors to the program, who will guide each VALUE scholar through his/her chosen project track.

Two scholars have chosen to perform undergraduate research projects. Mentors include Dr. Brittany Adams-Pope, assistant professor at University of Louisville, Louisville, KY; and Dr. Dan Jenkins, assistant professor at University of Southern Maine, Portland, ME. Adams-Pope will mentor VALUE scholar Kaiti Dinges (Dodge City) and Jenkins will mentor Chance Bulmer (Hays).

Four scholars will be pursuing a project in the corporate track, and welcomed mentors include Mr. Jake Weaver, human resources generalist at AGCO Corporation, Beloit, KS; Ms. Regan Ochs, Executive Administrator and Marketing Specialist for Adams, Brown, Beran, and Ball, Great Bend, KS; Mr. Daron Jamison, Finance Business Development & Strategy Manager at Nex-Tech Wireless, Hays, KS; and Mr. Karl Klein, director of Small Business Development Center at Washburn University, Topeka, KS. These experts will mentor Ali Sedbrook (Thornton, CO), Jade Singleton-Reich (Denver, CO), Ashley Templeton (Wilson) and Emilie Atherton, (Wichita), respectively.

Three scholars have chosen the civic track and will be mentored by Ms. Kelley Parker, Executive Director Jana’s Campaign, Colorado Springs, CO; Ms. Jordyn Sanders, Recovery Specialist, High Plains Mental Health, Hays, KS; and Dr. Donnette Noble, assistant professor at Roosevelt University, Chicago, IL. The VALUE Program at Fort Hays State University is a one-year curricular and co-curricular program for upper-division students supported by a generous gift from the family of Omer G. Voss. Offered by the Department of Leadership Studies, student scholars are paired with mentors in the field of expertise in which students will complete his/her project. Field tracks include corporate leadership, civic/non-profit leadership, and leadership research. For more information about the VALUE program, contact Kaley Klaus, director, at krklaus@fhsu.edu or 785-628-4303.
