About Tigers for Life

Tigers for Life is a student organization that is developed to promote FHSU pride and tradition; enhance relationships between students and alumni; and create everlasting memories.

Description of the Problem

Currently, the Alumni Association is experiencing problems that can be eliminated by implementing a collegiate membership. Several problems the Alumni Association Face in the status quo are decreasing numbers in membership, lack of pride in FHSU by past and current students, and an increase of apathy by current students. The total number of living FHSU graduates are 40,714 with only 5,671 of them being paid members of the Alumni Association.

The Vision

By the end of the fall semester, 2006, the student team will have the necessary research and leg work to implement Tigers for Life. The Alumni Association will hire a new staff member to manage Tigers for Life, and that staff member will take over the work the student team has completed. The student team will finalize the membership kit memorabilia and will begin ordering the product needed to have 100 complete kits by the kick off event in the spring 2007 semester. By the fall semester of 2008, virtual college students will be able to join as well with benefits designed to meet their needs.
