Jill's research interests include youth leadership development, service-learning and civic engagement, and leadership behaviors. She has published numerous articles on the effects of service-learning on the development of youth's leadership skills, as well as the transfer of skills to the workplace. She has been active in the American Democracy Project, as well as co-coordinating a learning community at FHSU, L3-Live. Learn. Lead. She also serves as a Fellow in the Center for Civic Leadership.
In the spring of 2012 Jill received the Pilot Award, which is awarded to outstanding faculty in the classroom. In the spring of 2005, Jill received the Navigator Award for her advising. Jill has been actively involved in the community as an executive board member and volunteer for the American Red Cross and Youth Friends volunteer mentor. Jill completed her Ph.D at Kansas State University.
Jill's interests include music, reading, cooking, golfing, and water skiing. |
