The Periodicals Department contains over 1,100 journal titles in print and
microform formats. All print periodicals in Forsyth Library are
arranged by Library of Congress classification. Microform titles are
arranged in both Library of Congress classification and Dewey
classification. Microform reader/printers are available near the
microforms. The periodical reading area is located on the main
floor adjacent to the periodicals. Some current periodical issues are
temporarily shelved in the periodical reading area.
Many periodical titles are also available electronically through Forsyth
Library’s subscription databases. You
can discover which database has a particular periodical title by using our A-Z
Print periodicals from 1994 to the present are located on the main floor of
Print periodicals dated before 1994 are located in the basement and are
housed in compact shelving. Please contact a library employee if you need
assistance with the compact shelving.
