Receiving Materials
Loans:
You may borrow books and microfiche through the mail. We will send these to your home through the U. S. Postal Service. If you anticipate needing to borrow materials by mail, please fill out and submit "Statement of Responsibility" form. This must be on file before we can mail books or microfiche to you.
If you need materials that Forsyth Library does not own, we may be able to get these for you through Interlibrary Loan. However, mailing these items to you will reduce the amount of time that you will have available for using them. You may be able to obtain items faster by using Interlibrary Loan Services through your local library.
Returns:
Please keep the package in which your books are mailed.
Please return books or other borrowed materials two or three days before the due date by U.S. mail. You will be billed for postage and handling via email and/or on form mailed with book(s).
Fines will be assessed on books that are not returned on time. Fine charges are $0.25 per day per item.
If you have not returned books from the previous semester, you will not be able to use Distance Services until your record is clear.
Copies:
Copies sent by FAX are $0.50 per page
Payment of Fees:
We will bill you for faxed copies and for postage and handling by email and/or on form with book(s) when mailed to you. We ask you to pay all bills by the end of each semester. If you have charges pending, you will not be able to use Distance Services the next semester. We request that you pay by check or money order. No coins, please.
