Journal of Animal Science Style - Installation Page

The Journal of Animal Science is a publication which has established its own citation style. This style is used in the FHSU Animal Sciences department and students preparing papers or assignments in that department should become familiar with the style.

Zotero does not come preloaded with this style. In order to output bibliographies and citations in the correct format, you must install the jas.csl file.

FOR ZOTERO 1.0

1. Right click on the document link - and choose "Save File As" or "Save Link As".
2. Open Firefox.
3. Drag and drop the saved file onto the open browser window.
4. A pop-up window should ask if you want to install jas.csl - choose "yes".

FOR ZOTERO 2.0

1. Right click on this document link - jas.csl - and choose "Save File As" or "Save Link As".
2. Open Firefox and click the icon in the bottom right corner.
3. Click on the tools icon and choose "preferences".
4. Click the style tab.
5. Click the + icon below the list of available styles. 
6. Navigate to the jas.csl file you just saved and double click on it.

You will now be able to access the Journal of Animal Science style through Zotero.
