Install the Word Plug-in

Go to the Zotero Word Processor Integration installation page and choose the download for your operating system.

Download the Word Plug-in file and then double-click it to run the auto-install.

Open Microsoft Word. In Word 2007, click on Add-Ins menu the Zotero toolbar appears as,

In Word 2003/2008, the Zotero toolbar appears,

If your Microsoft Word is in a language other than English, you need to install the Zotero plug-in manually.

For those users with a visual basic runtime error message, and cite error 91 when cite using the plug-in, it might be caused by a cable internet provider issue. It may be fixed by trying:

• go into Internet Explorer
  
• go into Tools and then Internet Options
• Click the Connections tab then LAN Settings button
• disable Automatically detect settings
