FHSU has embodied the "high tech, high touch" philosophy
for some time. In keeping with our high tech commitment, we are
now making
a transition to a mobile technology environment. This coming academic
year, we will be building a robust wireless network that will support
mobile computing use across campus. By using this netowrk you will
be able to access the Web, e-mail, grades, financial information,
the on-line course delivery system, and communicate anywhere on
campus.
By the 2007-2008 school year, all FHSU students will need to have
laptops or tablets that meet our mobile computing standards. If
you follow the recommendations below, you will be assured of having
the necessary platform for connecting to our wireless campus network
and having the necessary power for typical applications.
