Dr. Droege is Assistant Professor of Marketing and Management at Fort Hays State University working at SIAS International University in Xinzheng, Henan Province, China through the FHSU China Program. He developed a theory of meso-institutions in 2007 to explain the period between institutional deconstruction and reconstruction in emerging economies and has since expanded this research stream to focus on how institutional transition affects entrepreneurial strategy. His international research experience includes qualitative work in rural Chinese villages as well as quantitative work in China, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines. Dr. Droege’s international teaching experience includes serving as visiting professor at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics in Kunming, China and leading faculty and student exchanges to Chongqing, China. He is a frequent visiting professor at Ramkhamhaeng University in Thailand where he has taught undergraduate, M.B.A., and Ph.D. students in addition to supervising multiple doctoral dissertations.
