Overview

Successful change interventions are heavily dependent on how the process is managed and the leadership capabilities of the change agent. Being able to anticipate challenges, confront conflict, encourage participation, manage resistance and guide the organization through the change process are skills honed through practice.

This workshop will provide you with helpful tools and techniques that are used to facilitate and manage the change process as well as the knowledge and background required to build these necessary skills. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to practice a number of the techniques you learn during the session.


Learning Objectives

 During the workshop, you will learn the following about facilitating change:

  • History and concepts of change management
  • Levels of organizational change
  • Understanding and managing the change curve
  • How to facilitate organizational change

Target Audience

This workshop is ideal for anyone currently managing or leading people within the workplace. This is also an excellent workshop for those transitioning into middle-management roles such as team leaders or supervisors.

 

Your Facilitator

Dr. Kyle B. Stone is the Director of the Management Development Center and an assistant professor at Fort Hays State University in the College of Business and Entrepreneurship, currently teaching in the Department of Management and Marketing. His research interests include human resource development, lean thinking, organizational development and change management. His industry experience spans 20 years in automotive and utility truck manufacturing and operations management.
