Concentrations

"I wish I could find a program that I could complete during my free time."                    "I want a graduate education that I can readily apply to my workplace."                    "I want to enjoy my next degree and not feel pressured to compete with other students."                    "I don't have time to come to campus every week for classes, so my classes have to be designed for the distance learner."

Online or distance education concentrations are offered for students at any location and may include videotaped or other types of instruction.  These concentrations are designated by this symbol:

One of the most common points of interest in the MLS degree relates to the customized program of study.  This 18-hour concentration sometimes comes from the same department, but can just as easily come from various areas throughout the entire FHSU graduate education spectrum.  As you apply for admission please seriously consider the general area (from the listing below) that you'd like to concentrate on in your MLS degree program.  Please note that the notation on the formal transcript may not explicitly list your particular program of study (see below). Once you have been admitted to a concentration, please follow the MLS Checklist and carefully read The MLS Student Handbook.
