John Huber is an associate professor of music. He teaches piano and group piano. The Hays native earned his Bachelor of Music in music education from FHSU in 1962 and his Master of Music in music theory from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1967. His more than 40 years of teaching include serving as an instructor of music in Colby, Kan., public schools, and a year of graduate teaching at the University of Music.
He began his career at FHSU as an instructor in 1967. He has twice served as acting chair of the Department of Music and was chair from 1983 to 1987.
