Alumni News:
Stephanie Anglemyer, BM Music Education (2006),
teaches 5-12 instrumental and 9-12 vocal music at South Central
Middle School and South Central High School in Coldwater, KS.
Clint Ashlock, BM, Performance (2002), MA, Jazz
and Studio Music, UMKC (2004), MM, Composition, UMKC (2006), teaches
Jazz Studies at Johnson County Community College and performs
frequently in the Kansas City area.
Melanie Biel, BA Music (2003), teaches 5-12 instrumental
music at Goodland High School, Grant Junior High School, and North
Elementary in Goodland, KS.
Amanda Chadwick, BA, Music and BS, Elementary Education
(2002), is a 6th grade classroom teacher at Rossville Grade School
in Rossville, KS.
Martha Hayes, BM, Music Education (2004) is the
Director of Choral Activities, Southwestern Heights High School
in Kismet, KS.
Laura Higer, BA, Music is self employed serving
the elderly and handicapped persons in Hays, KS.
Luke Johnson, BA, Music (2006), lives in Kansas
City and is employed at Walgreen’s.
Sean Keasling, BM, Music Education (2003), teaches

Travis Keller, BM, Music Education (2005), teaches

Emily (Bienhoff) Levin, BM, Music Education (2006),

Craig Manteuffel (BME,1986) is the Director of Bands
at Hays High School.
Ben Markley, BM, Performance (2005), is pursuing a Master of Arts
degree in Jazz Performance and Composition at New York University,
in NYC, NY where he currently serves as an adjunct piano instructor.
Sean Martin, BM, Music Education (1989) is the Director
of Bands at Lakin High School in Lakin, KS.
Dionisio (J.R.) Martinez (BA, 2001) is the band
director at Itasca High School in Itasca, TX.
Grant Mathews, BM, Music Education (2003), teaches
5th-6th grade band and assists the high school drumline in Liberal.
He also conducts the Southwest Symphony at Seward County Community
College in Liberal, KS.
Jill (Zerr) Nichols, BM, Music Education (2004)
teaches 3rd and 4th Grade General Music for Colby Grade School
as well as High School Bands at Colby High School in Colby, KS.
Joey Nichols, BA, Music (2004), BS, Secondary Education (2005),

Mundelein Seminary in Mundelein, IL.
Amanda (Asher) Pfenninger, BM, Music Education, (2002), MM, Vocal
Performance, WSU (2006), is an accompanist at Thomas-More Preparatory
School and at FHSU. She also teaches voice and piano in Hays,
KS.
Shelly (Alefs) Ramsey, BM, Music Education (2003)
is currently employed at CPI in Great Bend, KS.
Jeremy Samuel, BM, Music Education, (2004), teaches
orchestra in Great Bend, KS.
Heather Schnoor, BA, Music (2006), lives in Nashville,
TN where she is pursuing a career as a country music artist.
Kathryn Sperry, BM, Music Education (2003), is employed
with Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She performs with the Salina
Symphony and Salina Community Theatre.
Jake Steward, BM, Music (2003), resides in Iowa
City, IA and is enrolled in the graduate program in Education
at the University of Iowa.
Deanne Spanier (BME, 1997) is the Director of Bands
at Goodland High School, KS.
Heidi (Tucker) Timmons, BM, Music Education (2003),
teaches K-2 general music at Piper Elementary West in Kansas City.
Pam Truman, BM, Music Education (2003), teaches
K-8 general music in Eureka Public Schools, Eureka, MT and performs
with the Glacier Symphony in Kalispell, MT.
Jeremy Wetter, BM, Music Education (2004), teaches
4-12 instrumental music at Northern Valley High School in Almena.
The Northern Valley Schools 6th and 7th grade band has been selected
to perform the 2007 Kansas Music Educator’s Association
Convention This invitation was extended after a strict audition
process involving bands from throughout the entire state.
Hee-Sook (Kim) Sutter, BM, Performance (2006), is
planning to pursue graduate study at the University of Illinois-Urbana.
