Tiger Marching Band

The Tiger Marching Band entertains pre-game and halftime audiences
at all home Tiger Football games. The Tiger Marching Band marches
in the annual Homecoming Parade and is the host ensemble for the
annual High Plains Marching Festival.
Approximately 100 members strong, the Tiger Marching Band has a
long tradition of service to the university. All members of this
ensemble receive stipends for their services from the Student Government
Association. First year members receive $300, and the stipend amount increases
each subsequent year. Non-music major instrumentalists are elligible for the Miller Award, which provides an additional $250.
All students, regardless of major, are encouraged to audition for
scholarships available
through the Department of Music.
The FHSU Pep Band is selected by audition each October. It performs at
all Men's and
Women's home basketball games as well
as MIAA and NCAA
post-season tournaments. All Pep Band members receive a stipend for playing at home games.
Fort Hays State University's dance team, the Tiger
Debs, also performs at all home football games with the Tiger
Marching Band, as well as with the Pep Band at home and tournament
basketball games.
If you are interested in joining the Fort Hays State University Marching Band, Color Guard, or Tiger Debs,
