Workshop for Arts Educators
Dr.
David Frego, Associate Professor at The Ohio State University,
will be presenting a Dalcroze Workshop open to all arts educators,
June 9-12, 2008 from 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., in the
Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center. Participants will be engaged
ear training, eurhythmics (exercises for the physical response to
music), and improvisational activities that comprise this method.
Arts educators at all levels of instruction are encouraged to participate.
College Credit Offered:
Undergraduate Credit (MUS 679 Topics in Music: Dalcroze): 2 hours
Graduate Credit (MUS 679 Topics in Music: Dalcroze): 2 hours. Additional
written project required.

Enrollment Deadline: Online enrollment begins Friday,
March 28, and continues through the first day of the workshop (Monday,

Parking: Parking Permits are required to park on
campus and may be purchased in the Office of University Police,
located in the Brooks Building. A one-week permit is $5.00; a full
term permit is $10.00.
Housing: On-campus housing will be limited in June
due to renovations to several residence halls. Summer 2008 housing
applications will be accessible online on, but not before, March

and dancing every day! Cool, light-weight clothing is recommended
and we will remove footwear.
