8th Annual High Plains Children's Music Camp

When: June 1-5, 2009

For: All children entering the 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade in the Fall, 2009 semester

Cost: $60 flat fee. Please make checks payable to "FHSU Department of Music."

Location: Malloy Hall, on the campus of Fort Hays State University

Times: The camp will run from 9 a.m. until noon each day. Campers will meet for an opening activity and wrap up activity for parent pick up in Malloy Hall #115 each day.

Enrollment Deadline: May 22, 2009. Enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis and be limited to 40 campers. Please enroll early!

Classes: Camp experiences include performing, reading, singing, creating, and listening to music. Classes will be taught by current music education majors and graduates. There will be a culminating class performance on Friday, June 5, 2009.

How to apply: Applications are available in the Department of Music office. Dr. Laura Andrews will deliver application forms to USD 489 elementary schools and to Holy Family Elementary School. Printable Application Form.
