Tanner Tempel, a Garden City senior agriculture business major at Fort Hays State University, was an alternate delegate for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. One of the highlights for the 22-year-old Tempel was taking a selfie with Ivanka Trump, daughter of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

High Plains Music Camp is entering its 69th year on the Fort Hays State University campus. The camp, Sunday, July 10, through Saturday, July 16, will welcome approximately 300 campers, old and new, with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. on the first day in the Memorial Union.
