Center for Civic Leadership schedules workshop and Times Talk for February
The
Center for Civic Leadership (CCL) at Fort Hays State University will
host a Hispanic Leadership workshop and a Times Talk about social work
in February.
At 6 p.m. on
Monday, Feb. 4, the Hispanic Leadership Initiative will host a workshop
to promote leadership among Hispanic students on campus. Topics to be
discussed include how to make the Hispanic American Leadership
Organization more diverse and on providing resources on how to plan
successful events.
At 12 p.m. on
Tuesday, Feb. 19, a Times Talk presentation, "Disaster Narratives of
Survivorship and Resiliency in New Orleans African American Elderly,"
will be in the back of Forsyth Library. Dr. Patricia Levy, associate
professor of social work, will present the talk about social work. The
first 20 attendees will receive a free lunch.
