Fort Hays State University announces Homecoming king and queen candidates

HAYS, Kan. -- Students at Fort Hays State University have chosen 10 of their peers to comprise the 2012 Homecoming royalty court.  

King Candidates:

Gentry Heimerman, Halstead sophomore and son of John and Kari Heimerman. Sponsored by Catholic Disciples, Heimerman is majoring in health and human performance.

Greg Shuler, Jetmore senior and son of Dan and Cheryl Shuler. Sponsored by Up 'til Dawn, Shuler is majoring in communication.

Isaac Broeckelman, Selden junior and son of Joe and Cathy Broeckelman. Sponsored by Sigma Chi, Broeckelman is majoring in health and human performance.

Josh Doak, Rush, Colo., senior and son of Jim and Lenna Doak. Sponsored by Panhellenic Council, Doak is majoring in organizational leadership.

Tre Giles, Colorado Springs, Colo., freshman and son of Tammy Giles. Sponsored by Sigma Phi Epsilon, Giles is majoring in organizational leadership.

Queen Candidates:

Regan Ochs, Grainfield senior and daughter of Shane Ochs and Tracy Huxoll. Sponsored by Catholic Disciples, Ochs is majoring in organizational leadership.

Brianna Baumgartner, Strasburg, Colo., senior and daughter of Allen and Margaret Baumgartner. Sponsored by Up 'til Dawn, Baumgartner is majoring in English.

Sabrina Brown, Gypsum sophomore and daughter of Michael Brown and Lisa Satiacum. Sponsored by Delta Zeta, Brown is majoring in communication.

Alma Hidalgo, Perryton, Texas, senior and daughter of Pedro and Paula Hidalgo. Sponsored by Interfraternity Council, Hidalgo is majoring in art.

Rachel Wary, Colwich junior and daughter of Joe and Maryjean Wary. Sponsored by Student Government Association, Wary is majoring in nursing.

Coronation will be during halftime of the FHSU vs. Lindenwood football game on Saturday, Oct. 6. The game begins at 7 p.m. at Lewis Field Stadium.
