Tobacco Free Kansas Coalition hosting a
state-wide film contest
All students, faculty and staff in Kansas universities and colleges can enter the Tobacco Free Kansas Coalition (TFKC), Unfiltered-Take Tobacco Off Campus short-length film contest.
Students,
professionals and amateurs can submit films in the category of tobacco
prevention and/or films that pertain to a tobacco-free college or
university campus. Genres can include narrative, documentary, animation
and experimental.
The submission period began Jan. 30 and will run until 5 p.m. Friday, March 22.
All films must be complete at the time of submission. Only films that are 30 minutes or shorter will be considered.
Final
film determinations will be made on Thursday, April 4, at the screening
in the Murdock Theatre in Wichita. The winner of the showcase will be
awarded a check for $1,000.
TFKC
is a statewide alliance of health, education, parent, youth, law
enforcement and other civic organizations and individuals concerned
about tobacco.
