For many, the thought of on-line learning can be the biggest hurdle to overcome when thinking about going back to school. FHSU’s Virtual College has been a leader in offering high quality online education for nearly 15 years. Today, FHSU offers 11 bachelor’s programs, nine master’s programs and a wide range of endorsements and certificates completely online. Last semester, online students ranged in age from 18-62. In any given semester, the Virtual College serves more 5,000 students from every state and more than 25 foreign countries. The online classroom requires a new and different approach to studying and learning. Real courses require real work. Online learning takes initiative, self-motivation and time management skills, but the rewards can be great. Find out if online learning may be right for you. Because the entire RN-to-BSN nursing curriculum is offered on-line, it is necessary that you own a computer with internet access. Fort Hays State University’s Virtual College provides a list of minimum technical requirements to allow you to successfully participate in online courses. Additionally, all nursing coursework requires that you use Microsoft Office software. FHSU has partnered with Kivuto Solutions, Inc. to sell students, faculty and staff software at discount prices.
