WELCOME to Otitis Media:

a Continuing Nursing Education
Web Course

This program was developed to allow nurse practitioners, physicians, and physician-assistants an opportunity to review the general principles in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric acute otitis media (AOM). In addition, common therapies used to treat AOM will be reviewed and recently released antibiotics will be discussed. This program is divided into nine modules (sessions). The sessions are designed to be viewed in order, but you may move in and out of the sessions according to interest. Nurses may receive 3 hours continuing nursing education credit for this session by completing the post-test, evaluation, and registration form. This CNE program is an interactive learning experience because you will be provided with feedback on the post-test. Thus, these CNE contact hours are "regular" CNE credit hours, the same as if you attended a
workshop or conference. Fort Hays State University is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. This course offering is approved for 3 contact hours which are applicable for RN, LPN, and Advanced Practice Nurse relicensure. Kansas State Board of Nursing Approved Provider #LT0018-1138. You must mail a check for $40.00 made payable to CNE Coordinator/FHSU Nursing Department in order for you to receive your certificate of completion. For registration details, click on the online registration form button below and submit it electronically or print and mail the registration form to:
