Office of Strategic Partnerships

Fort Hays State University has been involved with various types of partnerships in its mission area for many years. Since 1998, the Internet has greatly expanded the ability for the University to share learning experiences more conveniently with learners almost anywhere in Kansas and the world beyond. The University has been developing a wide array of strategic partnerships linked to the capabilities of the Internet that support FHSU’s mission, vision, brand, and values to Kansas citizens, other academic institutions, the military, corporate entities, and global higher educational institutions. Much of the enrollment increases in cross-border education have been due to the success with these partnerships.
Due to the increase in the role and scope of operations to serve and work with these innovative partnerships, the Office of Strategic Partnerships was created in Fall 2004. Cindy Elliott, Assistant Provost for Strategic Partnerships, has been given the charge to further develop, negotiate, and service these important new pathways for global learning. She is assisted in the Office of Strategic Partnerships by Mary Meier, Administrative Assistant.
For further information about any of the partnerships or to pursue additional collaborative educational opportunities, contact the Office of Strategic Partnerships at 785.628.5834, or celliott@fhsu.edu.
