Joe is originally from the east coast.  He got his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary and his doctorate from Rutgers University.  From 1994 to 2010 he taught at Drew University in New Jersey.  Since 2011 he has been a member of the Fort Hays Political Science department. His scholarly interests include Public Policy, American politics and political theory.  His non scholarly interests include sports and he maintains his loyalty to the teams of his youth -- the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Orioles.
