Pre-Law/Legal Studies Certificate

Whether you see yourself in the courtroom, the boardroom, or a governmental office, a law degree can be your ticket to a rewarding career. Lawyers are problem solvers. The Pre-law/Legal Studies Certificate provides you with an understanding of the foundations of American law, a working knowledge of legal resources, and the skills to engage in basic legal research and argumentation. With the Pre-law Certificate you'll be better prepared for law school and for the legal profession.

Virtual Students Please Note: Only POLS 320, 620 and 621 are available for the online Pre-law Concentration. All other options listed below are on campus only.

POLS 622: Legal Advocacy 3 hrs
PHIL 310: Legal Philosophy 3 hrs
