Instructor/Assistant Professor and Athletic Training Education Program Director.  Tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Health and Human Performance.

Appointment:

Tenure track position (tenure eligible) with 9 month appointment.

Job Description:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to coordination, administration, and evaluation of all aspects of the CAATE accredited ATEP. Additional responsibilities include teaching upper level athletic training courses and/or other courses within the HHP department, student advising and recruitment, and supervision of all clinical assignments. Summer teaching/assignments possible.

Position Requirements:

BOC certification; five years experience ATC; eligible for Kansas licensure as an Athletic Trainer and demonstration of teaching, scholarship and service consistent with appointment rank.

Education:

Preferred qualifications include a doctorate in athletic training or related field; CIE training, experience or familiarity with CAATE Standards and the duties associated with Program Director and/or Clinical Coordinator in an accredited AT program. Applicants with a Master’s degree or ABD will be considered, with preference given for commitment to meeting tenure-line qualifications.
