International English Composition Instructors
Position Announcement
Positions teaching English composition at various
universities in China. Master’s degree in English or ESL, with experience
in teaching ESL writing, preferred. Candidates must be U.S.
citizens or hold a U.S. work visa. Applications received
before 10 May 2007 given priority.
Teaching responsibilities: Will teach the equivalence of
four sections (up to 25 students in each) of English Composition
101 and 102 during fall 2007 and spring 2008 semesters, following
Department of English policies and procedures for these courses. Before
leaving for China, instructors will meet with the Chair and International
Coordinator in an expenses-paid visit to FHSU campus to learn what

Fort Hays State University will pay a $20,000 salary and will
pay for one round-trip flight from the USA to the Chinese university,
and the Chinese university will provide room and board and transportation
in China.
