Director of School Psychology
Position Announcement
The Department of Psychology at Fort Hays State University is
accepting applications for the following position:
Director of School Psychology at
Fort Hays State University. Tenure track beginning in Fall
2007. Minimum
requirements: Doctorate in School Psychology (ABD will be
considered but retention will depend upon completion of doctorate);
will direct school psychology program and teach graduate courses
for school and clinical masters level students, plus one or two
undergraduate courses per year. Interest in distance education
is helpful. Teaching load consists of 4 courses per semester. Typical
courses include Methods of School Psychology, Observation in School
Psychology, Practicum, Internship, Behavior Therapy, Child Appraisal,
General Psychology, and other courses as determined by department
need.
The Department of Psychology offers a BA/BS
in psychology, a MS in Psychology (Clinical, School, General)
and an Ed.S. in School Psychology. There are approximately 200 undergraduate majors
and 50 graduate majors. Faculty consist of 9 doctoral level
psychologists representing a wide range of specializations.
