Faculty and Unclassified Staff Handbook Chapter 1 -- General Policies

Handicapped Personnel

Colleges and universities, as recipients of federal funds, are specifically barred from discriminating against handicapped persons in any and all areas of campus life by court rulings, HEW regulations, and federal and state laws. FHSU provides maximum job access by broadening its recruitment efforts and acceptance of faculty, staff, and students who are handicapped.

In addition to remodeling facilities to eliminate all physical impediments to disabled persons and developing support services, new facilities will automatically incorporate the latest features for serving the handicapped. Catalogs, bulletins, brochures, policy statements, and campus literature reflect the University's commitment in this regard.
