Chapter 7-- Student Affairs
Participation in Assessment Activities
Fort Hays State University is committed to the use
of various kinds of assessment activities as a way of creating or
acquiring information about student and faculty progress toward
educational goals and the effectiveness of institutional policies
and practices. In order to make necessary adjustments in the learning
environment which will be effective in developing the talents of
students and faculty to the fullest extent possible, assessment
activities are conducted on a University-wide basis.
It is the responsibility of students to participate
in any and all forms of assessment activity. The knowledge derived
from student participation in assessment programming will help faculty
and administrators make better choices about how to optimize the
impact of the institution's learning environment, processes, and
management practices.
Approved by the Council of Deans (02-01-94).
