Chapter 7-- Student Affairs
Sponsors of Student Organizations
The University requires all registered student organizations
to have campus sponsors, preferably faculty members. Such sponsorship
means assisting an organization in every way possible to have a
strong and effective program. It is hoped that faculty members will
be willing to serve as sponsors and will enjoy this informal contact
with students.
The Student Organizations Committee registers student
organizations. The committee is comprised of faculty and students,
and is chaired by the Assistant Vice President for
Student Affairs.
The Office of Student Affairs (Sheridan 208)
has a number of resources for campus groups, including the FHSU
Student Organization Handbook. This handbook includes all policies
relevant for student groups, as well as useful information about
funding, facility use, etc.
