Fall Semester 2007 Academic Calendar

July 1-August 8 - Finalize Enrollment at TigerEnroll. Go to TigerTracks.

August 8 - 4:30 pm CT Deadline to enroll in pre-enrolled advisor-approved classes. Pre-enrolled classes will be dropped from the student schedule and re-opened for new pre-enrollments.

August 16 - Available financial aid released to Tiger Card for enrolled students.

August 20 - Classes begin
Final day for undergraduate student to declare an Intent to Graduate. Go to TigerTracks.

August 26 - Final day for 100% refund for full semester or arranged courses (7th calendar day of semester).

September 2 - Final day for 60% refund for full semester or arranged courses (14th calendar day of semester).

September 2 - Final day to add or enroll in a full semester Virtual College course with instructor permission

September 3- Labor Day Holiday - University closed

September 4 - Classes resume.
Final day for graduate students to declare an Intent to Graduate--notify Graduate School. Go to TigerTracks.

September 9 - Final day for 40% refund for full semester or arranged courses (21st calendar day of the semester).

September 15 - Tuition fee installment and financial aid deferment payments due to Student Fiscal Services.

September 17 - Final day for 25% refund for full semester or arranged courses (29th calendar day of the semester).
Final day to add a course or to enroll in a regular full-semester, on-campus course or on-campus arranged course
Fees for courses withdrawn do not apply to courses added after this date
20th day of classes

September 23 - Final day for 10% refund for full semester or arranged courses (35th calendar day of the semester).
Final date to withdraw a course without transcript record.

September 24 - Transcript record begins
COURSES ARE PERMITTED TO BE WITHDRAWN FROM SEPTEMBER 24 THROUGH OCTOBER 28 (SEE WITHDRAWAL POLICY STATEMENT). A grade of "W" will be recorded.
Pre-approved tuition deferment deadline.

October 1 - Final day for graduate students to sign for comprehensive examinations.

October 5 - Oktoberfest.
Classes held through 12:20 pm (The end of classes which begin at 11:30 am)

October 6 - Homecoming

October 12 - Midsemester

October 15 - Mid-semester grade entry deadline, NOON (No mid-semester grade reporting for Virtual College classes)
Last 8-week courses begin
Tuition fee installment due to Student Fiscal Services.

October 18- Make appointment with advisor to receive mid-semester grades

October 23 - Pre-Enrollment for Spring 2008, Graduates, Postgraduates, Seniors N-Z

October 24 - Pre-Enrollment for Spring 2008, Graduates, Postgraduates, Seniors A-M

October 25- Pre-Enrollment for Spring 2008, Juniors N-Z

October 28- Final day to withdraw from a course with transcript record of "W." NO WITHDRAWALS ALLOWED AFTER THIS DATE. (70th calendar day of semester)

October 29 - Pre-Enrollment for Spring 2008, Juniors A-M

October 31 - Pre-Enrollment for Spring 2008, Sophomores N-Z

November 1 - Pre-Enrollment for Spring 2008, Sophomores A-M

November 2-3 - FHSU Family Weekend (Current students)

November 3 - Tiger Day (Prospective students)

November 5 - Pre-Enrollment for Spring 2008, Freshmen N-Z
Final day for graduate students to submit approved titles for Master's Thesis or Specialist's Field Study

November 7 - Pre-Enrollment for Spring 2008, Freshmen A-M

November 19 - Final day for graduate students to have their comprehensive exams returned by departments to the Graduate School

November 19 - 23 - Fall Break (University closed Nov 22-23)

November 26 - Classes resume
Final day for graduate students to submit approved Master's Thesis or Specialist's Field Study and Oral Examination Report

December 8, 10 -14 - Final examinations

December 14 - Semester ends

December 17 - Final grade entry deadline, NOON

December 18 - Grades available at TigerTracks

January 15 - Fall semester undergraduate/graduate degree candidates must have all requirements for a degree completed and on record in the Registrar's Office by 4:30 pm
