Fall Semester 2011 Academic Calendar

August 10 - Enrollment Deadline. Pre-enrolled classes will be dropped from the Student Schedule if enrollment is not finalized on TigerEnroll by 11:59 p.m. CST. 

August 16 - Begin release of available financial assistance funds to students meeting eligibility and enrollment deadlines. Fund release dates are dependent on the selected refund option choice in the TigerEnrollment payment process.

August 22 - Classes begin
Final day for undergraduate student to declare an Intent to Graduate. Go to TigerTracks.
August 28 - Final day for 100% refund for full semester or arranged courses.

September 4 - Final day for 60% refund for full semester or arranged courses.
See Fee Refund/Drop/Withdrawal Schedule.
Final day to add or enroll in a full semester Virtual College course with instructor permission.

September 5 - Labor Day Holiday - University closed

September 6 - Classes resume.

September 11 - Final day for 40% refund for full semester or arranged courses.

September 19 - Final day for 25% refund for full semester or arranged courses.

Final day to add a course or to enroll in a regular full-semester, on-campus course or on-campus arranged course--see Add Policy Statement and Schedule
Fees for courses withdrawn do not apply to courses added after this date
20th day of classes

September 25 - Final day for 10% refund for full semester or arranged courses.

Final date to withdraw a course without transcript record.

September 26 - Transcript record begins
COURSES ARE PERMITTED TO BE WITHDRAWN FROM SEPTEMBER 26 THROUGH OCTOBER 30 (SEE WITHDRAWAL POLICY STATEMENT). A grade of "W" will be recorded.

October 3 - Final day for graduate students to sign for comprehensive examinations.

October 7 - Oktoberfest.
Classes held through 12:20 pm (The end of classes which begin at 11:30 am)

October 8 - Homecoming

October 14 - Midsemester

October 17 - Mid-semester grade entry deadline, NOON (No mid-semester grade reporting for Virtual College classes)

Final day for graduate students to submit approved titles for Master's Thesis or Specialist's Field Study

November 12 - Tiger Day (Prospective students)

November 21 - Final day for graduate students to have their comprehensive exams returned by departments to the Graduate School

November 21-27 - Fall Break (University closed Nov 24-25)

November 28 - Classes resume
Final day for graduate students to submit approved Master's Thesis or Specialist's Field Study and Oral Examination Report

December 10, 12-16 - Final examinations

December 16 - Semester ends

December 19 - Final grade entry deadline, NOON  

TBA - Winter Break (University closed)

January 13 - Fall semester undergraduate/graduate degree candidates must have all requirements for a degree completed and on record in the Registrar's Office by 4:30 pm
