The Faculty Research Association reflects the fact that research truly matters at Fort Hays State University. As scholars, each of us in a university faculty contributes not just to the learning of our students, but the growth of our fields of study in general. We participate, through research and creative activities, in the lives of our academic disciplines. The Faculty Research Association provides support and activities to reinforce the research agendas of our faculty and the research mission of Fort Hays State.

To support and bolster the research environment at FHSU, the Faculty Research Association was formed in 2002. In the years since, the Faculty Research Association has provided a forum for faculty (and students) to present their original works of scholarship to critical audiences of peers and provided support in two key elements of the university’s research life: the publication Research Matters that highlights research and creative activities from FHSU faculty once each semester, and the annual Research and Creative Activities Week. The organization always looks forward and we welcome any suggestions for new avenues the Faculty Research Association might pursue.

As a faculty member at FHSU, if you are passionate about research I personally encourage you to join the Faculty Research Association.
