Wiest Hall is co-ed by floor and accommodates approximately 400 residents of all classifications. Wiest is a truly integrated community, providing first-year students the opportunity to interact closely with upper-class students within a multicultural environment. The environment in Wiest Hall is ideal for cultivating important life skills in the transition from home life to college life.Wiest Hall was constructed in two phases in 1961 and 1971, and was initially a male-only residence. It is named in honor of Dr. Charles F. Wiest, Emeritus Professor of Philosophy and Religion until 1943.
