Thank you for your interest in the
opportunity of becoming a part of FHSU Residential Life as a desk
assistant. We want to insure that we hire an enthusiastic and
friendly desk worker. We also care about the safety and privacy of
our residents. We are looking for a reliable, friendly, creative
and responsible person.
While working the front desk you
will be expected to answer the front desk phone, check out various
items for use, manage the cash box, and assist residents as needed.
Desk Assistants may also sort mail and packages and check-in
residents. There are other various duties a desk assistant has; one
may be helping with programs at the front desk; like Happy Hour. We
want a person who is willing to go beyond the minimum desk duties
and work hard.
The requirements for working the front desk
are; you must live on campus, you must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0
or higher and be willing to work desk hours according to your
application, this may include nights
if you are on night staff. You must also be able to work alternate
weekends. You may also be required to return early in August and
stay later or come back early during breaks. Please make sure you sign up for an interview time in the
Residential Life Office in McMindes Hall Room 126 after submitting
