    Tiger IQ

    Tiger IQ is an early alert and intervention program designed to help identify students who may need extra assistance in completing their classes and achieving overall academic success. There are a number of issues and obstacles that can derail students on their way to academic success, but research has demonstrated that faculty assistance in the early identification of these obstacles will help us make a significant difference in retention and persistence efforts.

    Through a partnership with the AT&T Foundation, FHSU was able to welcome the program in Fall 2011 for a launch in January 2012. 

    • How do you access Tiger IQ?
      • You may gain access to Tiger IQ by logging into the TigerCentral portal. 
      • The link to the program will be under the Information tab on the homepage.
    • Why should you complete the faculty surveys?
      • By completing the faculty surveys on Tiger IQ, you are recording your students' success. Without these reports, we cannot effectively monitor the students who may need that extra push. 
    • Reasons to refer your students:
      • They have excessive absences from class
      • They are not completing assignments
      • They are not doing well on their exams
      • They are failing your course
      • There is evidence of an unhealthy lifestyle
    • How do I refer students to the program?
      • Refer a student by logging into the program and viewing the student's profile. You'll find a link on the left side of the webpage, "Create a Request for Intervention." Simply click on the link and follow the steps provided on the following page. For more in-depth instructions, please see the Faculty Training Manual. 
    • What happens after the referral?
      • The referrals are monitored by the Office of Student Affairs. Based on the information provided, our staff will come up with an appropriate action plan for the student to follow. You will receive an email from Thriving Tigers stating that a follow-up has been made; this email will also provide you with next steps. The student will also receive an email regarding your referral.
