Earth Science (already full) June 1-July 10, 2009
The focus will be on earth system science looking at ice cores and possibly bio-fuels and how these impact the earth as a system.
Energizing Middle School Science and Social Studies Workshop (already full)
On campus (July 6-9 and July 13-16) and home based (July 20-23, 2009)
This workshop is Year 2 of a 3 year project focusing on science integrated with social studies—participation in Year 1 is not a requirement for involvement in Year 2
Designed for 5th-12th grade teachers of science and/or social studies, with a preference given to middle school teachers and teams of teachers from the same school
We Go To The Moon (brochure) (June 16, 17 &18, 2009)
Just in time for the 40th Anniversary of the Moon Landing, this course looks at the science, technology, and social implications of the early days of the moon exploration.
In addition to the course, which is designed for teachers K-12, examples and materials are provided for standards-correlated classroom activities to infuse into your curriculum.
