The Student Fiscal Services Office disburses financial assistance and is responsible for billing and enrollment. The Financial Assistance Office determines eligibility for financial assistance and Student Fiscal Services bills the student for university expenses and disburses excess financial assistance and other refunds to the student. Disbursement of financial assistance is not an automatic process, you must also meet disbursement eligibility criteria such as enrolling in the correct number of hours, and not being on Financial Aid suspension. The following steps explain the process Student Fiscal Services disburses financial assistance to students.

Finalize Enrollment Through TigerEnroll
  • Enrollment must be finalized through TigerEnroll. If a student does not finalize enrollment through TigerEnroll by the deadline date noted on TigerEnroll, the student will not be enrolled and the classes will be dropped and offered to other students. Be sure to carefully read the Rights and Responsibilities when finalizing enrollment.
Tuition and Fees
  • The Student Fiscal Services Office applies all available financial assistance for the term, with the exception of Work-Study payroll (payroll funds are paid as you work throughout the term), towards any tuition and fees on the student's account.
Residential Life
  • If a student lives on campus and has financial assistance remaining after tuition and fees are paid in full, the aid is then applied towards the student's Residential Life costs. Housing reductions for returning students or scholarships will be deducted from the amount the student is billed and is not disbursed as cash.
Books
  • Books and supply costs are not charged by the university. The student is personally responsible for the purchase of textbooks and supplies.
Excess Financial Assistance
  • Excess financial assistance after all tuition, fees, and housing costs have been paid for the term will then be refunded to the student pursuant to the student's refund option designated on TigerEnroll. See Financial Aid Disbursement Methods.
Balance of Tuition, Fees and Other Costs Owed to University
  • The student is responsible to pay the balance of tuition, fees, and other costs owed to the University in full or make payment arrangements with Student Fiscal Services.
Disbursement Dates
  • The financial assistance disbursement date varies each semester. It is typically two to three days prior to the first day of classes. Check Student Fiscal Services calendar.
