A low interest (currently 5%) loan
For both undergraduate and graduate,
degree seeking students who are enrolled at least half-time
Awarded to students who demonstrate
an exceptional financial need
No interest accrues on the loan
during the time a student is enrolled
Repayment begins nine months after
graduation or dropping below half-time
FHSU is the lender, but the loan is made with government
funds and a share contributed by FHSU
You must repay this loan to FHSU
This office is responsible for the
Federal Perkins Student Loan award distribution and loan collection.
The Financial Assistance office handles the awarding of this
loan. For information about how to receive a Federal Perkins

FHSU has contracted with ECSI, an outside billing & processing company.
FHSU is still the lender for your loan. For your convenience, ECSI offers the following payment options:
Automated Direct Payment (ACH) (first, tenth, fifteenth or twentieth of the month).
On-line Credit Card/Debit Card payment
