1st Year Seat

First of all, I am from COLORADO and I am proud to be representing the freshman here at Fort Hays State University in the Student Government Association. I have lived all over Europe and finished my secondary education in the eastern plains of Colorado. And now, I have decided to finish my higher education here at FHSU. And I love it! I have held previous leadership positions in other clubs such as Treasurer and Historian. I even joined the Parliamentary Procedure Team for four years. As your Freshman Senator for 2007-2008, I will be concerned to hear your issues and ideas relating to our university. It is very important that you discuss any problems or comments you have regarding FHSU to me, so that I can relay your thoughts at our weekly meetings. I would be delighted to hear what you have to say considering I am representing ALL FRESHMAN! I believe everyone one has the right to be heard including the underclassmen. My goal/expectation for SGA would be to try to have more freshmen attend the meetings throughout the fall and spring semesters. I understand students are busy, but at least take the time to know what your university and student government is all about. It is really interesting to see how our association assists so many of the clubs and organizations here. We truly care about the students at this university.
