The FHSU Science and Mathematics Education Institute is open Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm excluding state holidays. Summer hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, closed Fridays. Feel free to contact the Institute staff if we can be of assistance to you.

Dr. Paul Adams is the Director for the Science and Mathematics Education Institute. He received his B.S. in Physics/Math from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio, in 1983. From there he went on to receive his Master's Degree in Physics from Washington University. In 1996 he achieved his Doctorate of Philosophy in Science Education from Perdue University. When he is not busy working, Dr. Adams enjoys his time at home with his wife, Cheryl, and twin children. He also has two adult children and two grandchildren.

Ms. Ann Noble is the Financial Administrator for the Science and Mathematics Education Institute as well as the Kansas Academy of Mathematics and Science. She received her B.A. in Accounting in 2005 from Fort Hays State University. Ms. Noble has three children, four grandchildren, and resides in Hays, Kansas, with her husband, Warren.

Ms. Mallory Smith began working in the Science and Mathematics Education Institute as a Project Director in 2011. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Fort Hays State University in May, 2012. In her spare time, Mallory is a nanny for six young children. She resides in Hays, Kansas.

Ms. Melissa Mayers became the Administrative Assistant for the Science and Mathematics Education Institute in July, 2011. She received her B.B.A. in Business from Fort Hays State University in 2001. Ms. Mayers resides in Hays, Kansas, with her husband, John, and two daughters.

We Couldn't Do It Without Them....Our Student Workers

Kaelin Leach is a student worker for the Kansas Academy of Mathematics and Science, which he began in the Fall of 2016. Kaelin originates from Hays and is majoring in Graphic Design.

Cody Mikulecky is a student worker for the Kansas Academy of Mathematics and Science, which he began in the Fall of 2016. Cody originates from Englewood, Colorado and is majoring in Business Administration.

Brooke Crawford is a student worker for the Kansas Academy of Mathematics and Science, which she began in the Fall of 2016. Brooke originates from Kit Carson, Colorado, and is majoring in Sport and Exercise Therapy.
