Karen Schueler, M.S. LCPC
Instructor
- Karen Schueler is a graduate
of Fort Hays State University with a Master of Science degree
in couseling, and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.
She works full-time at the High Plains Mental Health Center. In
her twelve years with High Plains, Karen has served in a variety
of roles including children's therapist, case manager, consultant,
and is currently the manager of the Consultation and Education
Department. Her duties in this capacity include coordinating and
providing educational presentations and programs in northwest
Kansas on a variety of mental health topics.

- Karen is member of the center's
crisis response team, and is trained in Critical Incident Stress
Debriefing (CISD) and in Community Crisis Response Team Training
through the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA).

- At Fort Hays State University,
she teaches two courses through the Virtual College on Family
Communication and Stepfamilies. Karen is also an advocate of Adventure
Education through Hays Project Adventure.

- In her free time, Karen likes
to golf.
