Kristin Kerrigan, M.A.

Kristin Kerrigan completed a bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in aging from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and earned her master's degree in Sociology from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 1996. She teaches three courses through the virtual college: Introduction to Sociology and two sections of Multiculturalism in the U.S. Her main scholarly and teaching interests are in the Sociology of Aging, the Sociology of Sport, and Sociological Theory.

Ms. Kerrigan just moved to Kansas City after residing in Hays for the past three years. Her husband, John, is an assistant professor of English at Rockhurst University. On June 12th they celebrated the birth of their first child, a son, named Owen Michael. When they are not tending to his needs, John and Kristin watch and participate in many sporting events.
