Hi, I’m the secretary of the Special Education Department. Most likely I will be your first contact if you call or stop by the Special Education office in Rarick Hall. I strive to be informative and helpful to all. If I don’t know the answer to your questions, then I will direct you to someone who does.  I have been a professional secretary for most of my adult life.  With that in mind, I pride myself in performing precise organizational office skills. I keep very good track of Dr. P. A. Hoernicke, Chair, as well as all of our wonderful faculty members. I allow all of them to believe they are in charge even though we all know that secretaries make the wheels turn.

I have lived in this area of Kansas all of my life. My husband of 26 years and I have two terrific sons and a daughter-in-law who completed their college education at Fort Hays State University. I am an avid swimmer and I love to play the piano.
