Orientation

Sheridan Hall
Orientation is designed to help you adjust to your new environment
and cope with the changes you will experience your first semester
at Fort Hays State University. Speaker Bill Cordes previews
the university experience, helps you understand university
policies and procedures, and provides opportunities that familiarizes
you with the university resources and services. Orientation
is REQUIRED for all incoming students. Sponsored by Student
Affairs & Chartwells
Afternoon Departmental Socials Various locations across campus
12:30-2 p.m.
If you have already declared your major, visit your department
to meet faculty, staff, and key administrators. For undeclared
majors, take the opportunity to visit the Academic Advising
& Career Exploration Center. Transfer students should
visit the Memorial Union to meet other transfers.

Floor meetings Residence Halls
10 p.m.
If you live in the halls, this one is for you! Gather with
your entire living group for the first MANDATORY all-floor
meeting. Introductions, policies, and expectations will be
discussed. Opportunities for involvement in Hall Council and
Residence Hall Association will also be reviewed.
